Ok, who thinks everyone else knows the secret to life?
May 1, 2013
Ok, who of us have not at least at some point in our lives been there.....unless you live totally isolated from the world. In which case the point is mute as you would never read it anyway! Who has never ever in their lives wondered how Mr & Mrs Blogg juggle their wonderful professional lives and have what appear to be 3 perfect children, a well behaved dog and super tidy house?. Ha!...... yeah right. Oh i'm sure it takes much effort to give that appearance, and i am not going to judge that effort. The point i am making is that we ALL make presumptions on others usually based on our own thoughts and feeling about our own lives. We are human, wanting more for ourselves is natural and the subsequent insecurities that accompany those wants. But remember there are things you can do to prevent those urges to judge and hate your friends, neighbours or associates. Ways to alleviate the potential tears and tantrums, or the over indulgence of alcohol that lead to much more heinous behaviours like CAKE!!
ok on a more serious note, there are things you can do to allow continual growth for yourself.
1: Be grateful/thankful for you DO have... yes i know that sounds rather obvious and perhaps slightly patronising. But it is rather simple. We ALL have something to be grateful for. Just take the time to remember. You will feel so much better when you do.. way better than if you only focus on what you think you dont have.
2: Remember your work life is important but it does not define who you are. Well unless you really want to make that choice. And because others make different choices doesn't mean you have to follow theirs to be ok.
